Banquet Event Supervisor

Requirements:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Event Management or related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience as Banquet Operations or Event Coordination, (experience in overseeing semi-bar events or bar-service events is a plus)
  • Experience with manage event in both indoor and outdoor settings
  • Expertise in banquet room setups, event flow, seating arrangements, and logistics management
  • Knowledge of food & beverage service standards, including buffet, plated service, and cocktail service
  • Strong understanding of food safety standards and HACCP protocols.
  • Ability to handle complex budgeting and cost control for large events, managing both expenses and revenue.
  • Leadership and Team Management: Strong ability to lead and motivate a team, providing clear direction and ensuring performance excellence
  • Time Management: Effective at managing time and prioritizing multiple events and tasks, ensuring deadlines and expectations are met.
  • Problem-Solving & Decision-Making: Quick thinker with the ability to make decisions under pressure and address any issues that arise during events.
  • Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a knack for building relationships with clients, staff, and vendors.
  • Willing to be based in Bali

Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing the planning and execution of banquet events (e.g., weddings, corporate events, private parties) in the hotel’s banquet and semi-bar areas.
  • Coordinating all logistics for the event, including room setup, decorations, audio/visual requirements, and guest seating arrangements.
  • Supervising and leading a team of banquet staff to ensure smooth event execution.
  • Providing training, coaching, and feedback to staff, fostering a high-performance environment.
  • Ensuring all staff are familiar with event details, standards of service, and health/safety regulations.
  • Ensuring that all guest requests and special requirements are handled promptly and efficiently.
  • Responding to guest inquiries and resolving issues in a professional and timely manner.
  • Managing the food and beverage service for banquet events, ensuring the quality and presentation meet hotel standards.
  • Coordinating with the kitchen team to ensure food is prepared and served as per event specifications.
  • Ensuring that all bar service items, equipment, and supplies are properly stocked, maintained, and inventoried for events.
  • Assisting in budget preparation for events and ensuring that costs are within budget constraints.
  • Ensuring that all event setups and operations comply with health and safety regulations and hotel policies.
  • Building strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded during the event planning and execution.
  • Providing post-event feedback to clients to ensure satisfaction and build loyalty.
